James Hargest Scullers finished 1st in the Sculling Aggregate at the Aon NZ Secondary School Rowing Championship which concluded on Lake Karapiro on Saturday. The Invercargill School picked up a further Gold, three silvers and a bronze medal on the second day of finals to win the Prestigious “President’s Scull” for the most points in Sculling events at the regatta. To put the win in perspective, Hargest also finished 3rd in the overall aggregate behind New Zealand’s more traditional rowing schools, Rangi Ruru from Christchurch, 2nd, and Maadi Cup winners Hamilton Boy’s High School.
